| I have been wearing posiodon mittons in winter for several years, I never got on with dry gloves in my experience the best is one dry hand but mosty two wet. since wearing the Posioden mitts my hands have been warm, now on second pair as the first ones are worn out. I am able to tie knots in my smb line while wearing them so there is no loss of deterity compared to half frozen hands. The only disadvantage that I have found is they limit the signals you can make with your hands counting is one two more. I would recomend them. Graham |

| I have a pair of O3 3-finger mitts and they're very effective. They're also a bit weird to use and take some getting used to. However, I'm prepared to put up with the faff of dry gloves and never use them so make me an offer. |

| I use the Poseidon 3 fingered mitts and have tried drygolves. I find the mitts keep my hands warmer, also with the bonus that they are easy to don and doff wet or dry, in or out of the water. I got on with them straight away and have no problems with dexterity. I love mine so much, I have a spare pair!

.Seriously, I love my Posieden Mitts. Managed two 25 minute dives in 4 deg water today quite comfortably and I'm very wimpy. The elasticated, velcroed wrist strap reduces flushing to a minimum. Susan. |

| I use 3 finger Poseidon 5mm mits over the winter peroid (have done for years) I have a pair of drygolves but never use them, they are a pain in the ass to don on and off, feel like you have baloons on your hands in the shallows/surface. Are dry but not necersary that warm. Mits on the other hand (pardon the pun) are easy to get on and off, no loss of movment or dexterity when in use. And in my opinion are actualy warmer than dry gloves. The other thing i found with dry gloves is on deep dives (60-100m) they were really shit and felt horrible in use, with mits it feels know different than any other wet gloves. If you intergrate the dry gloves into your dry suit this may be different, but for stand alone dry gloves compresion at deep depths were a problem for me. The only down side to using mits i found, is that i cant deck the V's to my buddy. And also signaling short midwater stop times (i.e 2 or 3 mins stops) have to become 1 + 1 +1 = 3 if you get what i mean. Infact its been that long since i used my drygloves, i may dig them out for my next dive just to confirm how crap they are in my mind. Then they can sit at the bottom of my kit box for another 5yrs Used my mits last week on a 71m dive @ 4c for 1hr, feet were cold but my hands were fine. ATB Gareth

| I've got Posidon "lobsters", dexterity is noticibly less than with my 5mm fingered gloves (you will be amazed how much you miss your little finger) but they are certainly warm. Hand signalls aren't difficult but just require a bit more thought. One criticism is that I just can't get them off without help, the velcro wrap is brilliant at stopping flushing but a total "pig" to release when trying to take the first one off (and velcro stuck between your teeth isn't nice). My Scubapro wet gloves have the same wraping velcro strap but with a non-sticky edge to you can at least get hold of it, not a major problem but anoying. |
