| Oooooo that's a cold tape measure Have just come back from Seaskin where Richard got out his extra long tape measure and did the business for one of his lovely suits. Had a good look at his production and he's got some proper fancy stuff on the go- Nomex/Goretex suits, military stuff (presumably for Bren) and a diveable drybag if you want to take your pants down to the wreck with you. All very smart. Went for a front loader with over zip, 2 x cargo pockets, flat tables pocket, neo socks, neo neck and HD latex wrist seals. In black and blue. What a thoroughly nice chap Richard is and I'm looking forward to trying the suit for the first time on a 50m dive in 4 weeks.

| Ooh, suit you! |

For all you DIR types he was making a DUI-stylee suit for someone from the really thin fabric that a TLS is made from. You know the stuff. Flexible. Light. As puncture resistant as clingfilm.

| What material have you decided on? Chain-mail? |

Driving in the covered bit looking for the next car park makes you look like a cnut. Then you have to reverse all the way out while various work type people look and laugh and wait for you to scrape the spoiler again.

| You getting a new suit then Woz? Quote:

The old £100 Otter Hammerhead needs new cuban-heeled-dancing-wellies (the soles are worn out and they're starting to wear through on the top), a new zip (cord broken on 1 place already and other bits look suspect) and a new neck seal (you can get 2 fingers down the front of my neckseal without touching skin or neoprene- remarkably this still seals. How? Dunno). So by the time I add all that lot up and consider that a couple of the seams are looking suspect I thought a new suit would be the best option. Now being a somewhat spherical shape MTM was the only way forward. And I didn't fancy a MTM O3/Otter stylee where they take various sized bits and stick them together to form a slightly bodged MTM rather than one that goes perfectly round the lumps on my Svelte Frame. So that means a Polar Bears, Protec or Seaskin. Polar Bears are somewhat pricey (over £700 for the spec I wanted), Protec won't fit a neo neck seal to a membrane suit which left Seaskin as about the only option- plus they are only an hour from me in Leeds.

| A mate of mine had them make one of these to a DIR type spec and I saw it for the first time last Saturday. Have to say that for £500 - you will not get more suit and it was cut perfectly. Nice and slim through the legs and plenty of room in the upper body. These guys seem to know what they're doing and he had plenty of nice things to say about their service
