Another seaskin happy customer

I purchased a seaskin suit just before christmas and had loads of problems getting my feat into it so when I sorted out to do my open water this friday I thought I had better try it on and make sure it all fits ok. On monday evening I couldn't get either of my feet into my suit so really started to panic.

Good for me that I phoned Seaskin and spoke to Richard yesterday morning and arranged to drop the suit of at 12pm. Got a call this morning at 10.30 to say they had changed the boots for some bigger ones and tested it and I could collect it whenever I want.

The service is excellent and I owe a big thank you to Brian who did the work. They didn't even charge me for the work so a big thumbs up from me.

Are you a tall chap with big feet, buying a membrane suit with neo boots by any chance?

Thats good to hear, but I'm suprised Richard's had the same problem again
when I had my suit made, I opted for the neo boots, I tried them on before he made the suit, but when I got the suit, I couldnt get them on, some problem with membrane onto neo boots (big boots size13) in the end I had to get about 12" of neo added to the leg so when the Neo boots where attached the boots & neo leg stretched

Richard did say it was the 1st time he had had this problem, but that was early last year, so again, I'm suprised hes had the same problem

Glad your sorted........I love my suit

Sounds exactly the same as what I did and to be fair Richard did warn me about the possibility of it when I went in to get measured and order it, but I thought it would be ok so you could say it is all my fault for not listening.

Richard also mentioned that this was only the second time they had this type of problem but the way in which they dealt with it was excellent and the new boots are so easy to get on I am really happy. It only required a small triangular patch adding into the seam to enlarge the ankle area to fit the new boots and I am more than happy with it and can't wait to get in the water on Friday.

If anybody else was to have any doubt them I would recommend trying a set of boots already attached to one of the many suits they have lying around to make sure they will fit, which is what I did before they made the changes.

I've got short legs, 31 inch inside leg and only size 7 feet and the same combination of neoprene boot and membrane. I have a bit of a struggle with one foot if I'm not careful with my choice of sock. I think I've got it sorted now though, my merino ski socks are perfect.
