| If i were you i would try a thin base layer and see how that works for you since the suit should provide good insulation. See if you can borrow some undersuits to try out as well. You will have to find out what works best for you by trial and error though. I have finally settled on Fourth Element Arctic kit after two previous undersuits. Jim

| I would of thought that the Fourth Element gives you a good thermal insulation versus thickness ratio, its what i use and it keeps me warm.

| I have one of these that I got 2nd hand, which I started diving in August last year. In the summer I have a cheap, thin, thermal base layer from Milletts, which was plenty warm enough! In the winter I added a set of xerotherms and I am toasty warm on 40-50 min dives. I only added the xerotherms in November as was fine until then. Unless you feel the cold I would start off with this. HTH Chris Last edited by Big Kahuna : 22-02-08 at 11:47 AM. Reason: must learn to spell |

| Truth be told the suit is a little on the small side. Thats why I'm lokking for a good but thin undersuit, it would be a shame to have to sell it. Plus this way I get to try diving in this country on the cheap , if there is such a thing.Ta Steve |

You'll at least save on petrol Seriously though, Xerotherms are about the best thin undegarments you'll get but I think a suit that is 2" too short may well be problematic.
