If like me you don't dive long enough to need a valve, so don't want the hassle of fitting "yourself" to it, then I reckon a zip is a godsend versus not having one - nice and easy to go for a qwuick one pre or post dive without having to get your head and arms out your drysuit.

Didn't have one on my old suit, wished I had. Got on on my new suit

Dave

Thanks for your replies , I was just wondering if it was a good idea as I am ordering a new suit, I suppose it cant help having the option to have a wee without removing the suit when out on a boat for the day, my diving is mostly from a Rib.

I have had pee zips in my last two suits the one I hace at the moment does not, it will have before the summer. When I am rib diving I am often in the suit eight or more hours. after that sort of time wearing a condom

Graham.

The b/f went for a p-zip and has been very happy with it, although yes a p-valve is planned for his next suit.

The only leak was when he didn't realise that the waist cord from his undersuit was traped in the zip, so it didn't close properly - Cappers in January!
