think about it the suit leaks when your diving from the waterproof side to inside - so finding the leak you need to do the same - if you would rather sit inside with all holes blocked, submerge the suit and look with a torch where its leaking!!!!! while holding your breath - please let me know how you get on! Or turn the suit inside out fill it with water and look at your leisure where the water seeps from!!!!!!!!!!! If you actually filled your suit with water on the inside it would take you weeks to dry it out and probably wouldn't tell you anything where the leak is!!!! hope this helps Steven |

if you fill from the dry side you are unlikely to see anything, whereas turn it inside out put water in you will see it seep into the dry inside - it has to be dry or you won't see. and as it has been said figure out where it comes from on the outside and fix on the outside! good luck Steven |

| Don't go and see Mike (now in Cyprus !!) He will get out the soapy lube and rub your inside thigh !! Not good to have another man doing that on a busy day on the pontoon at the NDAC !! ash |

| Drysuit Leak Locator Turn inside out and fill with water......found leak this way that seemed to close up when pressurised from inside. This way water pressure works as it would when diving. Use yellow crayon from kids bike repair set to mark leak. Beware when turning back out as i just about flooded the bathroom as a sleeve was hanging over the side of the bath. NO brownie points and lots of earache !!! |

| Nice easy way, get two Milton fliud sized bottles, jam in the wrist seals, then open your drysuit zip and put a 12 lt or similiar sized tank into the middle, pop the top out through the neck and ly it flat, close zip and dump valve, if cuff, use Duck tape to seal it off. Attach your reg and inflate the suit until you hear air excaping through the seals. Take a bowl of warm water (makes the suds mix better) and a sponge or clothe, now add some washing up liquid, just enough to make suds, and start along the seems and cover the whole suit, you will see bubbles where any holes are, once you find them all, dry the suit off and turn it inside out and start using aquasure or blackwitch to cover the leeky area, or patch with a piece of neoprene or membrane material.

| Cheers for your replies after checking suit noticed that I had a crease in one of the seams below the knee. On the opposite foot the boot had a hole in the out side layer. So I have sent it to Hammonds Dry suits to be tested and have new boots put on. Hopefully when I pick it up on Saturday I will have a dry suit which keeps me dry again. Keith |
