Tips finding a hole in a dry suit
Went for a dive on Sunday and my right leg was bit wet, so I think I might have a hole or a leak.

Does any one know the best / easy way of finding a hole before I send it off to be tested.

Bubble test. Spray your suit leg (whilst wearing it) with soapy water, inflate and watch for bubbles (so I've been told).

Get in it in grey trackie bottom and top.
Jump in bath.
Get out.
Look at wet patch.
Lob Aquasure everywhere.

fill neck and wrist holes with suitable items, vase, bowl, bottle, cans, etc

fully inflate suit using 100% oxygen

use a match to look across suit for leaks

a conglomeration of Finless and WWD posts.

stuff 15Litre cylinder in neck hole secure with elastic band, wine bottles in wrist seals again secure with elastic bands, inflate suit til almost exploding spray seals with soapy water. crutch seal in the bum crack area is a prime suspect, seam tape had lifted slightly but waqsn't visible.


send suit to Drysuit repair dave for a good service and turnround time

Personally I would get your buddy to wear the suit ,go diving & tie him to the wreck ,fully inflate suit & see where the hole is ,mark with pen then return to sitting room for repair .Once repaired repeat process to check .
Easy !

(use buddy just incase your knot tying is not good enough to hold them down )
