I bought one …..

It’s a Mares Trilastic SheDive 5-4-3

It has a five mil body, four mil arms/ legs and three mil wrists and ankles

I got in and out easily

And I have a 1.5mil vest and three mil shorty – which I bought years ago before I started diving when I thought that sea water would be warm
So, I should be ok in 27 degrees

I've got a 5-4-3 surfing wetsuit Venus, it is pretty good to get on and off. and you can layer it with a shorty.

I dived in Gibraltar a couple of days ago. When I wrote to the dive sop before the trip, they told me that the temp would be 18*C this time of the year. When I got here, they told me that the temp was 16*C. When I eventually got into the water, it was 14*C. Anyway, I wore a 3mm wetsuit. Under that I wore 3 Fourth Element thermocline layers (2mm each, I think), ie a vest, a T-shirt type, and a full sleeve type. Wore a shorts (same material) too. They are neutrally buoyant. Was warm throughout dive, and no problem. They are slightly pricey, but worth it.

Have you tried Reed Chillcheaters? stretchy rubber base layer that really does stop the flushing. I used one of the shirts on its own in the red sea one summer, more than adequate.

Also, have you tried a hood with a wetsuit? Be suprised how much warmer even if your suit is flushing a bit.

Alternatively, MTM is the way to go.

Happy shopping!

Si

Glad that you've found a suit that you're happy with. A vest with an intergral hood can make a huge difference - they're not expensive. Suggest one with velcro side-entry might be ideal.

Stay warm

Hugh
