They are primarily designed for use under a membrane.

With a neoprene suit there are two potential problems. Neoprene tends to be more closely fitting so it might be a squeeze to fit it in. Secondly you might get too hot, especially on the surface.

So while it is possible to use them with a neoprene I would suggest looking very carefully at these points before buying one. Try one on with your neoprene to make sure there is enough room!

yep basically don't bother getting a sub-zero for under a ri2/100 unless your suit is very very baggy.

they are far bulkier than you first think . You could wear the bottoms and top separately but together it is like being vacum-packed.

ps. they are very very warm and the jackets will be lovely on a rainy/windy day on the boats !!
