Dive Rite Undersuit

Mate of mine is looking at a Dive Rite 600gsm polartec undersuit. It's actually discontinued but was their top of the range model beforee being replaced with something a bit posher. Only used once by some blioke in Sydney who found it to be too warm. (bastard)

It will be used here in Tassie, the coolest waters in Aus, going down to around 10~12 degrees C in winter, although not normally below 12C where we dive.

Would this be ok for down here? Anyone prepared to give these suits a goodreference, quality wise, or are they a fairly safe bet anyway?

It's like a car mate, you drop 20% as soon as you drive it out of the showroom. I think he liked them.....just not that much, if he can get something that will do the job he needs done for $180-200, he's not likely to want to spend $400 - $500 really - it's nothing personal.

I think if it were for diving in a British quarry in February/March, they'd be great but the coldest sea temp we get here is about 12 degrees and it's comparatively rare that we'd be in an air temp any lower than that either - so most of the year, he'd be cooking.

Why are you selling them anyway?

Perhaps advertise them on here?
