| The 350 is a nice comfortable suit but its not hard wearing. Don't buy one if you go crawling through shipwrecks for a laugh as they damage too easily. Customer service used to be absolutely appalling. They had a glue seam batch failure a few years ago and several divers ended up in epic battles trying to get their tea bag dry suits fixed. Couple of years ago you could get a TLS for £800-900 then literally one day they decided to cut off all the UK suppliers and use Stony Cove as a sole outlet and whack the price up by 50% Personally that was the end for me. I would like a TLS350 as a lightweight travel suit but £1600 for a dry suit is outrageous. However since then they have started selling them through the GUE place down in Portland Underwater Explorers. The customer service i have had from them has been above and beyond good so id risk it now but id only get one from them. ATB Mark

| I am indeed Gary - thanks, although I tend to only supply TLS 350s, undersuits and variants as I can give good advice on these - but not only the other ranges. Like most dive equipment the TLS has good points and bad points. I started supplying the suit as it is what I chose to use as a diver after trying a few others. They are expensive, although not quite as much as you tend to be led to believe on the internet.

| DUI Customer service I got mine about 5yrs or so back when they cost about £1k. It must have been amongst the batch that had faulty seam glue (mentioned in a post above) . When I returned it last year with a faulty valve I was told it wasnt worth repairing because of the seam problem. By that time the dealership had changed to Hydrotech who I thought were outstanding re customer service. They changed it free of charge without any fuss. It took some time and cost me most of last year's sea diving season as the sizing changed and it was sent from the USA. I was shocked that a suit that cost so much could have had such a fault, but apart from that they are comfortable dry and, to my mind, tough. Are they worth what they cost these days? Probably not I guess. |

| Depends where you get it CC as to how expensive it is Locally then you're going to pay... you may be able to get a MTM one done by someone overseas and have it sent in (labeled as warranty return to skip customs duty) let me know how you go sorting it out... i'm in the market for a MTM suit and like the look of the 350 |

| The one I was looking at was manufactured in Mar 1995. It's been used for about 200+ dives and is apparently well looked after with pure talcum powder and zipper lubed. How does that sound to you experts? |

Whether it is a good buy or not still would depend on the price being asked and the condition of the seals/zip etc and the only way to tell would be to have a good look and even a try dive in it! If repairs were needed then dont forget that the high price also applies to DUI (Hydrotech) repairs! |
