Drysuit Zip Issue

I just use beeswax on everything. dirt cheap and does the job. It just takes a little longer to apply, but while you're stting on your ass infront of the 9 o'clock news there's nothing better to sooth the nerves!

And I trim the fray off with a pair of scissors. I have a bad track record with lighters and burning off threads!

I think I'm going to have a nice evening in the hotel where;

(a) everyone stares as I walk in with a drysuit (as if it's not strange enough in somerset)

(b) sit on my own and spend the evening in trimming my drysuit bits

All of the various zip waxes and lubes use basically the same stuff to lubricate, what varies is the "carrier" used to deliver it

I heard it from a few sources. Didn't realise the lube is wax too though. As this is your field I will heed your advice

when I bought my drysuit the instruction was to use ziplube on the inside of the zip and beeswax on the outside so no it isn't the "general consensus"

If O3 haven't got one you can use give Polar Bears a ring as they'll be able to hire you one for the period - at least it keeps you in the water.

Always used runny brush on liquid on my CF200 zip. It needed replacing and continued with liquid but bloody tight to do up. Changed to beeswax and what a transformation. Chucked liquid in bin & will stick to beeswax....environmentally friendly as well?????
