| Does it come though the dump centre or from around the side of the dump? I only got wet when trying to dump when there was nothing left to dump on mine otherwise. You could try blocking the dump with a folded plastic bag, fill the suit and spray soapy water to see if its round the side (in the same way you look for a suit puncture).

| Only time I've had this problem has been due to either the outer part of the dump not being screwed down tightly enough, or there being a poor seal on the diaphragm either due to salt build up or grit getting trapped in there. Don't have a thick undersuit, so don't need to put loads of air into suit, so maybe this helps limit the opportunity for water ingress. I also notice I hardly seem to get much water into my BCD yet others doing the same profile etc have loads to drain out after the dive. How does that work?

| Check that you have positioned the cuff dump correctly (not that hard to do) and if so stick your mouth over the dump from the outside of your suit and blow, if your breath goes through you have either a leak, or its not seated correctly. When I was in Skye the other year, my cuff dump leaked, or so I thought. I replaced it whilst I was there with a new spare I had and it still leaked. I checked the rubber outer flange around the dump and plastered silicone and glue all over it and it still leaked. I sent the suit to Divers Warehouse for a new flange and dump to be fitted and the found it was the suit seam that was leaking, just near to the dump. So, its woth getting the suit pressure tested. Good luck

| unscrew the plastic cover over the valve and take out the rubber diaphram and make sure its clean replace and check again if it gets water through it as it can usualy clog up with talc and crap best wishes leigh |

However, when others have used my BC they somehow manage to get lots of water in, so that must be down to them using the wrong dump or not positioning it correctly.
