Question Will a neo neck seal work with minimum gas in the suit?

Hi

I am thinking of getting a neoprene neck seal on my new suit. I know these depend on the gas in the suit making the seal, so my question is...

If I drive the suit with only the minimum of gas in it will the neo neck seal seal properly?

Thanks

Yes. Mine did, better than the latex in fact.

Yes, because they do not depend on the gas in the suit to make a seal...That's a myth...

He's right! I was told that when I got mine too! It's rubbish - no gas needed to make the seal!

Yes they still seal even with no air in the suit ( & no way to add it cause I forgot to connect the suit hose )

As others have said, they work fine - I used to run minimum gas in my O'three RI 2/100 and never had any problems with water getting past the neoprene neck seal!

Make sure you see the neoprene before you have one fitted... I had a really thick one fitted at Hydrotec and it was really hard to get on and had minimum stretch and was quite uncomfortable...

I contrast my Othree has super thin 2 mm superstretch and is fantastic light weight and really comfortable...

Good point, I have a 3mm on my DUI, which is ok but stiffer than the O3 seals which are really nice

As all others have said, no problem with minimal air in suit. I personally find the neo seal far more comfortable and I no longer look like I've been garrotted after a days diving, no neck rash.
