    Drysuit for Kids

My son is 11 years old and has, in one form or another, been diving from the last three years. He's good. Very good. He's a published underwater photographer and is keen to develop his photography skills, especially when he opens his Xmas pressie!!

Anyway, he really does need a drysuit now and I am really interested to know if anyone has kitted out their young son, their recommendations and any problems they experienced with fit and function.

CJ, is 1.5 metres tall and slim build. At the NEC show O Three were not able to help as their neck seals were unable to accommodate children's relative large head diameter and small neck diameter.

Otherwise the best wetsuit I can find is the 3/5mm from C Skin and an O Three deepskin as an under garment.

If your serious... because they don't stay small for long... I'd be tempted to go for a membrane with a telescopic middle.. like the Otter. It will grow with him to a certain extent....and give him the best as he gets bigger. I recon you'll have trouble with the neck seal regardless of where you go. You say Othree couldn't help but they have the best neck seals around. The supersoft neoprene I have on my Othree has a massive amount of give....if you got one to fit....then as he grew it should give.
    Are we having fun yet....?

I bought an extra small neck seal from Seaskin for son's g/f's drysuit - the bloke who fitted it to the suit reckoned it was a child's size - we had to trim it back a fair bit as it was choking her - (although it was correct for the size advertised on their website) - she has a very slender neck.

Why not buy a seal from them, they are cheap as chips.
    Doing It Richard

I have a few faults but being wrong isn't one of them.

    Thanks Chaps...

I've spoken with Chris Hammond and his advice stacks up well. For £375.00 CJ will be nice and dry next year!
