Sorry Foggy when you said wet in the UK I just assumed semi-dry (quite wrong of me) and having dived a 2 piece semi in the UK for the last 2 years, including in early winter I have always been warm enough, its just a pain getting changed at the end or when moving from site to site.

I don't think diving completely wet in UK would cause poor mental function because I think anyone who dives completely wet in the UK must have poor mental function in the first place, sorry couldn't resist that one.

You must be a double hard b@stard Mandlebort, I had two dives in a wet suit and swore I would never dive anything but dry after that. Burrrrrrrrr.

I'm neither a hard nor a daft bas***rd (well maybe a touch of the latter lol) but seriously the only time I start feeling a bit of a chill is at the end of a 35min dive when its less than 5 oC, any other time I'm toasty but this is a 2 piece 7mm semi which is giving me a total thickness of 14mm around my torso. My feet used to get a bit cold in the wet boots but now I've added neo socks they are toasty as well. Although I'm due to go dry in the next month or two its only really due to the getting changed hassle when moving from site to site because (unless in my own car) I'm not allowed to sit in my semi during the transport to the 2nd site, Also I've never really liked getting into a wet semi on the second day (this is fine when in the tropics or on a really sunny day) of a weekend trip

Admittedly the wet suit I used was old and didn’t fit that well, I was quite cold at the end of the dive. Forget a second dive it was changed and in the car with the heater on for me. Having never used a semi dry or in fact a good well fitting wet suit I cant say how I would be. Just the thought of peeling the thing off is enough to make me not even consider it. Unless of course the waters a lot warmer than it gets in the UK.
