snakelocks ripping into two

seen it occur.... it took around 12 hours on this occasion for a Snakelock Anemone (Anemonia viridis) to completely tear itself into two halves (longitudinal fission... their idea of reproduction).

wondered if anyone has witnessed this (to compare times for activity) or indeed how many know or dont know they actually do it?

knowledge much appreciated

But I havnt seen it, sorry. I will look at them differently now... especially if I see two side by side as Im passing.
