Wasn't implying any irrelevance to this instance of the Nazi comparison, casting aspersions on my fellow posters or trying to kill the thread it's just since I was shown that article and read up some more on it I am amazed how quickly and how often the comparison is made and sometimes (although not in this case) how obscure the comparison can be.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

I'm sorry, I was a bit harsh. I was already in a bad mood and couldn't sleep when I posted that. I should have kept my hands off the keyboard.

One of the more interesting points to com up in this program (which made quite horrific viewing) was that there are now more dolphins in captivity than at any other time in history. Some of these dolphins come from the drive hunts, where aquarium staff come and pick out a couple before slaughter.

Most of these staff were from the far East, but with the breeding trades between aquaria it cannot be impossible that they end up in Europe or the US.

The best we can do is boycott any establishment with dolphins or whales as part of their display.

On this subject, whilst in Sharm I took a quick look at the boards where travel agents show their excursions and contact details. Of the English-speaking agents both Kuoni and Thomson were advertising trips to Dolpinella or to "swim with dolphins in a pool". As good a place to start as any?

I'm with you on this one Lou....

Since hearing about the atrocity that is happening at Sharm I refuse to go back to the place. As they say i am voting with my feet...if all divers with a conscience did this I'm sure that Sharm would see a significant downturn in revenue....

Just my thoughts really....
