Flamingo Tounge, shell fish, gold spots are on the mantle which covers the shell. The empty shell can sometimes be found on the seabed.

One of my fav underwater creatures.

Quite right (except for the spelling of tongue ). This shell is comon in the Caribbean.

These things were all over the place in the Turks and Caicos, but the shell is plain white once the mantle is withdrawn.
