Mark Currie's "nightmare" - the big frickin' Jessy!

Anyone who goes cage diving to see a GWS and doesn't expect it might potentially mouth the cage like this, is quite frankly being a tad naive and should stay on the boat like a big girl's blouse. These are not the actions of a crazed beast, merely the effects of large amounts of metal on an animal with electrosensitivity receptors in its snout.

Yes, there are many words I could use to describe this bloke and unsuprisingly "herioc" is not one of them!

What an absolute pillock. He is just a pathetic, attention seeking, money-grabbing little worm, who has no concern whatsoever (or lacks the intelligence to realise it) what effect his stories could have in the wider scheme of things.

On that vein, has anyone seen the "bloodsoaked" adverts for Sky Travel's "Shark Weekend" - it makes my blood boil.....

Thanks for the vid! Looking at it it seems that the shark initially is heading straight for the bait and when its withdrawn the momentum takes it onto the cage. This is also hardly the behaviour of a "crazed beast", more like a very gentle taste. From this footage at least Mr Currie was not in any real danger. If the shark had been for real it would have chomped that little cage with ease. Its not even big for a great white.

To the best of my knowledge - SOP amongst the great white shark operators is to chum with fluid but offer the shark no actual food so that there is no association between the boat and food. This chap was not in line with that policy.
