How long for? If you aren't feeding them, just a sub gravel filter, powerhead pump and some of that coral sand (basically crushed limestone, mops up CO2) should be all you need. I take it they aren't being kept as pets?

Keeping Lobsters Alive!

Not sure if anyone on this forum would know how to do that

Now, ask how to cook them and you will get lots of answers

If you have any aquariums near you, someone there might be able to help though.

Crushed up cooked and peeled prawns go down well as food, Just defrost it properly.

For a proper setup, you'll need a water cooler on a timer (an old pub lager cooler works well), a UV filter to kill the bugs and fresh seawater. You'll need to change the seawater every 6 months or so.

I kept an American Lobster (Homarus americanus) alive for two years in a classroom 50 gallon aquarium. Later, the critter grew too large and received a new home at the New England Aquarium in Boston, Ma.

Clawed lobsters are actually fascinating critters to keep. "Jaws", the pet lobster waved to the kids in the morning (he thought fingers were food) and he constantly arranged his domicile. He had rock stacking and arranging to an art. He was also quite destructive with anything that came into his tank. Glass thermometers, hydrometers, tubing all met similar ends. He was a load of fun for everyone and taught the kids quite a lot about the life cycle of the lobster and why it's a good idea not to harvest large breeders (over several pounds)

I am assuming you have an "Omer" type lobster. If you're serious about keeping one long term PM me. If you're going to fatten him up and boil him...never mind.

roy, potters store lobby's for several months in store pots, if you plan to keep em' in a tank i would suggest you NOT top up with seawater! you will suffocate the little darlings in super salty water after not many days
evaporation means the salt being left in the tank and only the h2o passing into the air, top up with FRESH water from the tap and if you are storing them for any length of time be sure to band thier claws (thick rubber bands) or they will rip the s**t out of each other!
good luck.
mike.
