Any arachnid experts out there?

Found this little critter in my garden today. I have never seen one like it before!

It's about the size of a 10p piece.

Anyone know what type it is? Am considering bringing it inside and feeding the kids to it

I'm sorry the picture quality isn't great camera only has 3x zoom on it.

I've got one on my patio door, fast little bugger, watched it the other day pounce on a fly and wrap it up. We've called ours Bruce. Primarily, for the patterned jumper it seems to be wearing.

Could be a Garden spider (araneus diadematus) but difficult to be sure from the photo.
