| It's well know that all British fish can be classed as either bib, pollock, or wrasse. Someone once raised the issue of dolphins and seals, but as DanE pointed out - they're not fish - they're witches. Failing that there is a book called "British Sea Fishes" which is quite good. Janos

| Here's a couple of links to sites I find useful: Home Page of the Aquarium Project - good for UK fish species MarLIN - The Marine Life Information Network Encyclopedia of Marine Life of Britain and Ireland</title>") document.write("</HEAD>") document.write("<FRAMESET cols='180,*'> ") document.write("<frame name='navframe' src='menu.html' marginwidth='10' marginheight='10' scrolling='auto' frameborder='no'> ") document.write("<frame src='" + StartPage + "'name='mainframe' marginwidth='10' marginheight='10' scrolling='auto' frameborder='no'>") document.write('</FRAMESET>') // End --> </script> <noscript> <html> <head> <title>Encyclopedia of Marine Life of Britain and Ireland - for all marine life (errr? Sorry about that link?!!! Don't know what happened there!) Unfortunately these sites don't break down the species into the two basic types: Edible & non-edible! Hope this has what you're looking for. Cheers, Mark. |
