    While agreeing that all the indications are that the shark was caught accidentally, I can't help wondering if the sale of the fins would also be illegal. Do the authorities in, for example, Hong Kong check shark fins for mercury content? Otherwise, the sale of the fins alone would bring in thousands of dollars, surely?
