Bit of a local barney on that one at the moment. From statements made so far, I think the insurers will end up paying for the oil damage etc, but are refusing to pay for a lot of the beach cleanup as it was caused by third parties...

Talking to one of the salvage vessel's today and the insurer (underwritten by Lloyd's) are arguing that there responsibility up to and including the tide line after that its up to locals and heritage society

I assumed a wind up, then realised it was an American posting in the Sun. Which got me thinking, now i'm preying its a wind up or it means some has let George Bush near a computer again

Do you know which one Graham? I think the incident took place on Springs so this could make a lot of difference.

I didnt know the diffrence i was just quoting the salver who is not allowed to touch anything above the tide line?

the council have tractors there at the moment doing the work on shore
