Fishy things and how to know one end from t'other
These fish and things that you get in the sea around the coast how do you know whats what?

Can some one point me in direction of a web site that will help me get to grips with spotting the difference between a wolf fish and a whale?

(Seasearch Observer's Guide to Marine Life of Britain and Ireland) is great.
Wolf Fish and a whale. If it's David Attenborough alongside it, it's a whale (all whales are under contract to BBC Wildlife Films), if it's just smelly divers, and it whistles at you, it's a wolf fish.
As to whcih end is which - wave your arms around a bit - you are now looking at the fishes tail.
As someone has already said - have a go at a seasearcg course - great fun, and very very informative. More details here.
