Seasearch Observer - Darlington

SEASEARCH
Observer Course

Saturday 19th April 2008
Three Seas Diving Club, Darlington


This is an introductory, one-day
course, aimed at divers new to marine life and recording.
The course enables you to recognize and record essential habitat and marine life information onto the Seasearch Observation Form, and prepares you to undertake Seasearch dives independently, with your club, or on organized Seasearch events.

The cost is £35 and includes a course pack and qualification booklet.

Programme outline:

Introduction to Seasearch
Introduction to Marine Life ID, and ID books
Recognising habitats and seabed cover types
Completing the Seasearch Observation Form
Seasearch diving techniques & position fixing
Video clips of dives
Simulated video dive to practice form-filling

East Coast Seasearch is part of a national programme of training and diving for
recreational divers to record seabed habitats and species, helping towards
their protection. For more information about Seasearch nationally,

Probably not me even though 3cs is my club. I'm not a great lover of underwater life, they just get in the way of the wrecks. JJ43 might be up for it. John C, fancy a bit of fish spotting???

Lincoln's a long way to come for a course?
