Strange sponge like things at NDAC ???

Anyone have any idea what the strange spongy things are that seem to be all over the NDAC these days ? They also seem to appear as lumps on the floor.

When on the walls they vary in size from a few centimeters to the size of a dinner plate. Have holes in them, also some have a purply tinge around the outside.

I noticed some very smalls ones at Vobster today for the first time on the chute leading into / out of the crushing works.

Will try and get some photos next time at NDAC if i can be bothered to take the camera

Saw some of those sponges yesterday. First thought was someone had chucked a floor mop in and i was looking at the head but on further prodding it wasn't. Then came across a few others.

Several in NDAC on the edge of the road from the APC to the 20m cabin cruiser.
