    Octopus V Conger

    Octopus V Conger
    Who would you put your monies on? David or Goliath ?

    Well if your like me, you would have lost. The octopus won this round and the conger had to be rescued by divers.

    So amazing is this story that it made national TV news.

    This snippet was filmed on Sunday by divers from the Club de Bueu (FEDAS) at Ons Islands part of the Parque Atlantico nation maritime park.


    The film shows how the octopus tries to asphyxiate the conger and even gets its tentacles in the congers gills.

    In the end Benito frees the conger and they both live to see another day.
    ( I rather think Benito was hopping the conger was dead )

    well, i suppose he did interfere, but i dont think the octopus could have got the conger in its mouth anyway so it would have been a pointless kill......
    and he probably felt very silly picking on a little octpus and losing like that, wrong time wrong 'plaice' eh?!?!?

    Agreed, the diver should not have interfered the octopus would have happily eaten the conger, it would not have bothered wasting energy if it thought it wouldn't be able to make a meal of it... bloody clever those occys

    Some one told me recently about an octopus that was kept in a tank at a research lab.....

    across the room was another tank with some fish in it...the fish kept disappearing....

    Keeping an eye on the situation one night a team member saw the octopus climb out of its own tank...make its way across to the other tank....have a fish supper and then go home...


    Clever little bugger..... I tell you..if they could drive cars we would all be fckd

    yep, i saw that vidoe footage, or another one from an aquarium?? it was eating sharks - fat b**** !
