| Inaugural post Who-hoo! A dedicated place for we fish prodders Thought I'd kick off by saying that a couple of weeks ago I got my Seasearch Tutor accreditation, so if there was sufficient interest (8-10 would be enough)we could probably run a course just for YD-ers who (a) want a simple introduction to marine taxonomy (classification systems) and (b) don't mind spending 10-15 mins here and there (while diving) in order to jot down a few details on the marine life and the "lay of the (underwater)land" Perhaps something for when the weather starts becoming more inclement, no sense in missing what passes for "summer diving" For more info on Seasearch go to: http://www.seasearch.org.uk/ |

| Congratualtions Steve, well done. Sorry already been on the course. Really enjoyed it though, can reccommend it if anyone was thinking about it. ![]() |

| Yaaay! Fish-prodders of the net unite!!! A special place, just for us. We need one of the "DIR Forum" warnings at the top - be nice to us or else.... Anyway, Steve - you know that C & I are up for Seasearch if you are going o do one. Now all we need is to get some real topics going in here... Lou |

| Just for balance can we have a 'Catching and Cooking' section? Well done Steve on the Seasearch Tutor thing. Adrian

| hey good to see that democracy is alive and well on yd... we suggested it and Jay came up with the goods. So this the place we can post pics and ask WTF is this??? BTW I did a seasearch course and found it really interesting and good value for money so if and when Steve gets one sorted it's a good use of time (especially when the weather is like today!) Jules xx

| I'd probably be temptable. Is it a dry course or do you get wet and go creature-searching? PS on the subject of wildlife, I saw my first coldwater triton last week. Pretty neat.

| Steve, I could definitely be tempted - am crap at identifying things so all help / teaching gratefully received. Cheers HM |

| I'd definately be up for it date dependent though, I'm guessing you don't need to get wet as Jules and Steve did it in Nottingham! Oh and I saw my first Nudibranch last weekend (and actually realised thats what it was!)
