| Oh yes, and these things seem to live under reef/rock... the scary thing is... I dont know what is on the end of the tenticle!!!! cheers Neil |

| Was the "tube " actually hollow? Tropical (and temperate) Brittlestars often live in cracks in between and under rocks poking their "arms" out to feed, but their arms aren't hollow when viewed from outside |

| Hi Steve.. The best way I can describe these things as a long solid green tube with 2 "fingers" on then end in a V shape. When I shone my torch on these things they retracted very quickly.... The only bit I saw was the "Arm" and "FIngers", the rest of whatever it was was under the reef/rocks, with the "arms" extending out over the sand.... Hope this helps... Cheers Neil |

| Hmm.. how'bout a drawing? What's the size of these tentacles? 3 foot? 3cm? If you ask me it could sound like some sort of snail... Kyrre

| They were about 1 - 2 ft long, the best way I can think of them is some alien arm special effect from a film.... diameter was about .5 of a cm. and it really hated torch light only ever seen them in 1's |

| When I was diving off Tenerife earlier in the year we saw a kind of tube worm. It has a long, flexable brown body and a mass of long bluey-green tentacles out of one end. I've got it on DVD somewhere at home; if this sounds like what you saw I'm happy to see if I can post a pic of it.

| HI Nick, We could not see the body, only an appendage.... Looked like a green network cable with 2 green fingers on the end...... It was really vivid lime green.... Seemed to move very fast when exposed to light..... I dont think it was a tube worm but I'm not sure.... Cheers Neil |
