Smile Sharm over Christmas

As a cunning ploy to avoid family over Xmas we will be in Sharm 13th to 27th Dec (so we can enjoy New Year with friends).
More seriously will any YDers be around at that time? Wife will be hopefully completing OW there but her main interest is UVA A&B.
Would be nice to dive with someone vaguely familiar rather than a 18yr old American on his first dive in the ""Ocean"". (Been there).

Cheers
Richard

I too will be adopting the same cunning ploy and buggering off to the red sea with my yellow coffin. See you on the bottom!!

Im doing the dives with Emperor Divers Tech guys and a friend of mine who lives / works there. But if anyones interested Im sure there will be space on the boat.

Thomas Canyon

Ainsley, Thomas Canyon is an excellent dive, make sure you check out the little cave at the bottom of the canyon, around 95 metres. Be careful if you have stages/sidemounts, it's a bit tight even without bailouts.

Regards

Sounds interesting, I dived it last year, but dropped down to 86m and then swam up to the shallower end. (south) What happens from where I dropped in down ? (north) How deep does it go and whats at the end ? How big is the cave, do i need my bit HID torch ? or is it more of an overhang/backup torch type thing ?

Cheers
