Alexandria, Egypt
Anyone flown into Alexandria, Egypt recently?

How is the airport? I assume the visa situation is the same as elsewhere? (i.e. there is an office to buy the stamp on arrival?)

any advice appreciated

Not long back from Alex, there's not much at the airport but you just pay for your stamp as everywhere else in Egypt.

I think all flights to Alex (International flights at least) land in Cairo and you have a road or rail transfer.

Not diving it.

A friend is holidaying there and I didn't want to spout off about the visa without making sure I was right.

Travel company have said you need to get it before you go and I just wondered if either the regulations had changed or Alex airport didnt have the facilities.
