<font color='#0000FF'>Hi folkes,

Has anyone dived in Lanzarote?
If so, can you recommend any good dive centres or must do dives around the Peurto Del Carmen area.

Any rough ideas of water temp in June?

Any help greatly appreciated

Rick

<font color='#000080'>Hi Rick,

about 4 years ago I dived with Safari diving in PDC they were a good outfit and offered a discount if you prebooked the dives.

The u/water terrain is volcanic rock but quite interesting loads of barracuda also they have a few wrecks near the harbour entrance of PDC

I went in april in a 5mm full wetsuit and if anything I was to hot.

HTH

Safe diving,
Steve.

Rick,

I too can recommend Calipso Diving in Costa Teguise. I did a try dive with them way back in 1997 so the dive was only in a local bay (Max depth about 3m) so cannot comment too much on the quality of the dive sites in the Costa Teguise area. The dive centre looked well run though with plenty of gear for hire

Enjoy you holiday whatever you decide to do! (Lucky Ba*#%rd)

Sorry Rick, I've just re-read your original post and realised you are down the opposite end of the island. Helps to read and understand before clicking on the Reply button.

Enjoy anyway.

/Colin.

I'll support Calipso too. They may be based in Costa Teguise, but run out to PDC anyway. Also up to Mala (nudist rocks). Teguise is quieter - a couple I dived with a while back were at the wrong end of PDC, at the end of the runway!
