A long weekend in Cyprus

I'm sure I've read a few times that Cyprus is becoming a new "long weekend" destination. My Africa trip next year is eating into my holiday allowance but I'd still like to get wet in the warm.

So is it possible??
I'm thinking -

Thursday late - fly out
Dive Friday, Saturday, Sunday morning.
fly back monday afternoon.

You still get your 24 hours before flying (just!!) and I only have to take 2 maybe 2.5 days leave.

Thoughts??

Mini Gig???

You could do that, and the flight times fit pretty well into that schedule. BA do a red eye flight, where you land at somthing like 3am and then the BA flight in the afternoon going back to the UK is normally around 4pm... Or Helios Airways do a similar schedule, sometimes they are cheaper than BA, but if the costs are similar, I would definately choose BA! Or there's also Cyprus Air, nice flight, but has been getting pretty pricey lately....

Expect to pay anywhere between £180 and £300 for a flight, depending on when you want to travel....

The flight is pretty long to Cyprus. While it looks possible, in practice you'd probably be well bushed by the end of it all. Probably best to go to somewhere closer like the Western Med. Or go for longer.

Cheers, Ant

ps if you're willing to do the hours to Cyprus - I don't think that Tenerife is that much different in flight time.

Did that one last year. Went on a Wednesday & returned on the Sunday, flights from Manchester. Not a bad trip & cheap as chips.
