The knowledge IS out there......

Hi all,
a question.
We are looking at a holiday in/by the indian ocean later on this year and have started looking at Sri Lanka, Mauritius and the Seychelles. (Maldives are too small so that's out.)

Which would you recommend and which times of the year are best and which should be totally avoided?

Any additional info would be very welcome.

TIA

Richard

Mauritius

Can only comment on Mauritius, went at the end of Oct for 3 weeks a couple of years ago, stayed in the Grand Baie area, paid extra and went all inclusive when we got there - this saved us about 400 quid. The diving was enjoyable, plenty to see mostly reef, plenty of life, different stuff like Frog Fish, Ribbon Moray. The weather in Nov is the start of their summer and was great. I'd definitely go back.

Mum and Dad have done Seychelles and Mauritius, they hated the Seychelles

Enjoy wherever you go

hi

hi there, in that part of the world, yes the maldives are small islands but never rule them out, i was there last year in april, i loved the diving so much we are off there again in march, the weather is so fablious we was crying out for rain, and when it did come for 10 mins, i think the whole island was dancing in it !!!!!!! because there so many islands out there everyone is diffrent

The madivians treat you as royalty it is so wonderful, some islands you need to catch a sea plane and that is also another experience, please take a look at the island we went to www.meedhupparu.com if that doesnt work go to google and type in meedhupparu. The one we are off to in march is kerudu island resort i do hope you get what you are looking for

cheers
andy
