| Been there quite a few time's now and never heard of any rebreathers out there. Anyway its not worth it your only allowed to a max of 30M and total dive time of 60 mins and that a government HSE requirement.. Sean Stands corrected... Must get back out there....

| Kuredu Hi Dave Dived Kuredu last January. They have Drager rebreathers and the resident photographer has an Inspiration so they have sofnolime and O2. They are rebreather friendly to visitors but you will have to take your own unit and cylinders as they do not have any for hire (Inspirations & 3lt cylinders). The biggest problem is the airlines luggage allowance. Send Prodivers an e-mail yopu will find them very helpfull. Cheers Richard Green Last edited by RichardGreen : 11-01-06 at 06:29 PM. |

| Kuredu Hi Sean Yes there are limits on time and depth I believe which makes it really not worth lugging an inspiration & cylinders all the way there only to do short and fairly shallow dives, not to mention the cost of O2 & sofnolime. Try O2 technical diving, Turks & Caicos, travel cost similar to Maldives, and no depth or time restrictions, small groups and very good service. They have units, boosted O2,He, sofnolime & spares. British Airways gives you 2x32kgs of luggage allowance each ! more than enough. Richard Green |

| Bandos Is the only Maldivian island with an exemption from the 30m rule and it is rebreather friendly. Cheers, Jon

the reason for the ccr thing, is to clock up some hours and get some experience on the unit, i know its going to be a lot of hassle taking it with me but it should be worth while (for me) if i get their. mmmmmmm 25 hours of warm clear water |
