Egypt...

just do it

you will not regret

Easier dives in the North (from Sharm)

Little more 'testing' further south (Hurgarda or Marsa)

Don't wait any longer... book it today

You couldn't go far wrong with a northern Red Sea liveaboard (not liverboard - that sounds like something froma butcher's shop ). You should get out to some of the further sites, whilst knowing you won't be too far from habitation at any time. Nice dives, lots of dives and good weather.

Try either early in the season or later, so May or Sept/Oct. It will be cooler in the sun, but the water will be warm enough.

HTH

Lou

Yeah! Do it now! Well, book it now I should say!

The best time of year is around June as has already been mentioned, the water has warmed up, all the fish are gathering but the air temperature is not sooo roasting that you fry. It's also the perfect temperature at night for sleeping under the stars too if that takes your fancy.

Possibly the best dive holiday you can have as your kit remains set up ready to jump in at any time. You don't have to lug anything around at the end of the day, just chill, eat, sleep, sunbathe and dive!

Thumbs up

I did my 1st liveaboard in October last year out of Marsa alam on a southern tour with Oonass divers on MV Seaflower.

The weather was great and the water was 28deg I took a 3mm full length that I forund too warm to dive in so I dived in a rash vest and shorts.

I slept on the seats on the upper deck, as the cabin smelled a bit of diesel, but sleeping on the upper dech under the stars was great about 30 deg's at night.

I took far too many clothes, you will only need a couple of tee shirts and a couple of shorts.

You take your shoes off when you board the boat and they store them for you and you get them back when you land so a pair of reef sandals would be the best.

I took far too much money, couple of tips, beers from the fridge and a tee shirt is all you need.

Keep your regs and computers in your hand luggage, for safety.

Keep your reg in your mouth when you are diving around the boats as the toilets bilge directly in to the sea, you will see what I mean when you get there. A couple of our party got the sh**ts and thats all I can put it down to as we all ate the same food and drank the same stuff.

Im sure this list is endless with others tips, Im sure that you will have a great time.

For a northern trip, something around £750-£850? That is all inclusive though - you barely need any more cash unless you dive nitorx. the other money is crew tips, alcohol and presents to bring back.

We booked the whole boat so we got a discount and it worked out about £700 with flights on Exel airlines.
