| I looked a couple of years back, found nothing at all. Either the French are being very secretive or those big Atlantic rollers they get in the afternoon are putting them off. Lots of body boarding/surfing to be had though. Be interested to hear if anything has changed. The area I was looking at was south of Bordeaux. Rgds Matt |

| Try http://www.plongeeonline.fr/ there is a list of clubs and dive centres by département. You didn't say where you were going so I haven't posted any of the links to dive centres but there are some there. I've never dived this part of France so I can't help much more than that although there is a French forum (http://www.plongeur.com/) that has trip reports and stuff for the whole country that's worth a look if you speak French. | Theres a club in Royan which I know and dived with, to get any depth you have to travel out for hours we were on the boat for nealy 2 hours and only hit 15mts. Theres also a club in Cognac. I have PM you anyway. I went there with my HSE medical and had no problems. These self certs are no good, but the club in Royan took out Padi divers and did not even want to see my medical form. Thanks
