| Xmas at Sharm Hope some of you more experienced visitors to Sharm may be able to help. The wife wants too go to Sharm for Xmas.................obviously im not moaning, loads of diving for me What shes asked is how hot is it at that time of the year. The wife wants to sit on the beach............will it be warm enough for her ?? If anybodys dived around the xmas period, what outfit did you dive in........wouldnt want too take the wrong suit and end up cold ? cheers. |

| My wife and I were there early January and she found the weather warm enough to sit on the beach. The only problem is the biting North wind which can blow strong and cold at that time of year - no problem if you hire a windbreak. The Russians found it very warm (depends what you're used to I guess!) and sun bathed like it was the middle of summer!! I dived in a 5.5mm wetsuit with a shortie on top and was very comfortable. Most divers didn't bother with an extra shortie and one brave soul (aged 66) dived in a 5mm shortie all week. I didn't see anyone in a dry suit. HH. |
