Never heard of it, but it looks a great place for training. Do we have anything like it in the UK?

The rules & procedures seem a bit strict and limiting to me.

http://www.nemo33.com/index_en/dive.html

Divers have to be present with all necessary documentation one hour before the intended time of dive.
Access to the changing rooms will be opened at a quarter to the hour.
On the hour, access to the pool will be opened for swimming/snorkelling (except in the 35m pit and the caves).
At a quarter past the hour, tanks will be fitted by each diver with a jacket of adequate size and a regulator.
Total divetime will be 45 minutes max.
The 35m pit will close at a quarter to the hour: divers who happen to be in the pit at that time will start ascending to the 10m zone.

Divers are responsible for planning their dive, no decompression limits, safety stops, etc. ...
as to be at the foot of the metallic staircase on the hour sharp.

Excellent. Will be spending some time in Brussels next year so might pop in for a dip and scare the locals.

Nemo 33

Been several times with groups. I run regular packages for groups and individuals from the north of England. We normally depart on a Saturday afternoon on the northsea ferries, returning monday morning. Two nights away, with a days diving at Nemo. Great laugh, very social and great change to a quarry!

Take a look at some photographs on our web site it

IIRC you're only allowed to use their gear when diving.

The website says,

DIVING GEAR

*

We wish to keep the water in its pristine condition all year long.
*

All diving gear is freely available by the pool. It is always included in the price of the dive.
*

We regret not being able to offer a rebate for divers using their own gear.
*

We therefore encourage our customers to try out the high quality equipment provided by our partner AQUALUNG.
*

You will find here some answers to some of your questions regarding diving gear.
