Plankton blooms that affect visibility in the Red Sea are quite rare. No need to worry.

bad news

sorry to dissapoint you but plankton blooms do happen in the Red Sea,one major one each year normally march ish time, basically it happens when the water tempstops going down and slowly starts going up, that and of course in combo with the moon cycle, vis is normally bad for aprox 2 weeks, water is greenish, but generally vis not less than 10meters, and only that bad for a couple of days, after this is finished there are Jellyfish en-mass, thankfully they are small and don't sting, but still can be a bit nervy for people juming off a boat into a big mass of Jellyfish.
