It is (I'm told) the best of the islands for scuba. Whatever you find its better than the cold here in Northern Europe...

I go out there to dive about 4 times a year and I use these folks: http://www.aqua-marina.com/english/index.htm

Not the cheapest, but the most professional and best run outfit I've found out there (hang tank on deeper dives, always carry O2, always have surface cover etc.).

Nice easy recreational diving with a good chance to see rays, turtles and even sea snakes if you know the right spots. Angel Sharks October to Feb but I think you've probably missed them now...

Have fun.

No chance, El Hierro is best, failing that, Lanzarote (Just ask my boss how many Manta Rays I have seen this year alone - 2 in 6 months, he has had 0 in 6 years )

As it goes, have dived with Agua-Marina, but with the previous owners. Was a good setup, can´t honesty speak about the new ones, sorry

Massive heads up for Island Divers. Sorry Scuba1 and Moray but I have yet (and I mean yet) to dive with you.

I spent some time in Lanzarote to set up a dive centre for a friend and was not to impressed with the diving there ay all. Just 2 good dive sites and the rest is .............
THe Jacaranda is about a 10 minute walk from where we have our little place. Sometimes its even quicker in thevan . Just give me a shout if you want to go diving with a cuban drug runner

Tenerife

I dived there a few times, dives are quite nice, alot of rays.
I have used a few schools, and most were ok, but I dived 1 time with wreck and reef, don't know if they still exist even, but back then they were an absolute shambles, from organisation to safety, thankfully I knew what I was doing so could look after myself and buddy. when I asked about Oxygen and first aid equipment just out of curiosity all i got was a blank look, so the lesson is, if they are still there don't use them, but apart from that enjoy the dives.
