Marsa Alam or Djibouti?

Looking to go away mid October for 1wk on a liveaboard and looking for any feedback on:
Simply the Best (Brothers/Elphinstone/Daedalus)on: Tranquility/Elite/Regency/Hurricane
or
Djibouti: Mila/Deli

We are not into wecks/tech but are looking for Big Stuff/Nitrox/no cyclones/good company/beer/hammerheads/the mother of the sea...whalesharks and the majestic manta ray.....don't want much I know; but I am a woman after all and always have high demands!

Some Q's we have:

Weather conditions in either location; or are we likely to be blown out?

Should the time of year and sea conditions effect our choice of vessel (did LB in Feb @ GBR and cyclone's meant we could not get up to Coral Sea) ? :0(

Is "Simply the Best" a good itinerary or can someone suggest anything better?

Marsa Alam or Djibouti; we are currently leaning towards Dj but are trying to keep an open mind :0)

Any feedback would be great.
