Alcudia - jupiter/saturn

we are staying at the hotel jupiter/saturn in august and i have heard some really differing opinions as to the quality of the establishment.

if anyone has stayed here could you give me your opinion of the hotel and grounds please.

I stayed there a few years ago and it was an interesting experience, my kids loved it, loads of pools and kids activities. Small room, food was ok and we had a band underneath our window that stopped playing at midnight - final song Lub me Doo aka Love me do.

The weather was great and the best part was we hired a car and went into the mountains,

It's a holiday enjoy it!

Mrs H and I stayed there about 8 years ago, it was good. Basic, clean and lots to do. If we had children I would deffo go back again, my Sister and her family have been 3 times on the strenght of our initial recommendation.

Now, out of choice I wouldn't go again but thats because we have no children.

If all that makes any sence?

when did your sister last visit the hotel?, as i have been informed that the standards have gone down in the last few years.

you could try Holidays Uncovered International - Holiday Reviews and Hotel Reviews and see what they say about it , its a fairly unbiased site cos its written by holidaymakers themselves

I went about 3 years ago. The Jupiter was the best out of the three hotels on the complex but do try the others for food if on an all inclusive. One of the hotels was a dump, can't remember its name. We enjoyed our hols there but the sewers were a bit smelly. The only other problem was if you stayed in the complex in the evening then it was difficult to get a seat, this is due to the fact that all 3 hotels share the main entertainment which is held at the Jupiter although the other hotels did have a bit of entertainment sometimes.

The beach in Alucudia is fantastic but being very fine sand isn't much good for diving. There are two local dive centre and you can get the dive shop to pick you up. I used Oceansub great guide who is German but with very good english, good setup and they go really far to get you to good sites. Jot down there number and give them a ring once at the hotel. You will need a break from all that holiday fun so come diving with me at Scuba Med and I will pick you up from the Jupiter in our nice bus. We can arrange boat or shore dives !

i'll be able to get about 4 dives in ( either 2x2 or 4x1) as we are only staying for 9 days but i will take you up on that offer,thank you, i look forward to it.
