Possible Maldives trip

There is a liveaboard trip being organised to the Maldives next summer (Aug 07) and we have been invited. What I want to know is: what condition are the reefs in? I've heard many reports of widescale coral bleaching, you see. The sort of diving we enjoy is bimbling around coral pinnacles and walls, primarily looking for interesting invertebrate life. Of course, it is also nice to see the larger pelagics and I get the impression this is the main reason to go here.

Can those of you in the know advise me?
