Hello,

After 2 major expeditions to Micronesia last year and year before this summer is being spent in Guernsey, cavern course in Wales and summer hols with the missus in Sardinia (hopefully work out cheaper).

I would welcome advice on operators in Sardinia. I want to tackle some of the caverns and caves out of Alghero in the west and also some of the reefs, walls etc in the north east.

Also, advice on any must do dive sites is welcome.

Basically....tell me what you know please.

Best regards.

K

I went to Alghero with my wife on holiday in 1991, did a few dives while I was there. The vis was excellent and there are some nice caverns but there isn't much life. I definitely would NOT go there for a diving trip but it's worth doing a dive or two while you are there on holiday. The outfit I dived with was run by a rather ancient Belgian gentleman and his German wife. They catered mainly for Germans, had a large, old boat berthed at Fertilia, where they lived in the summer. Can't remember what they called themselves.
