regs as hand luggage Has anyone carried their regs as hand luggage recently? I normally carry my regs as hand luggage (along with as many things as I can stuff in the reg bag such as back-up torches etc.) to try and keep the weight of my checked -in bag below the relevant weight limit. Has anyone tried this post the recent security alerts? I am flying from stanstead with ryanair to be specific.

Mike, Yes I travelled to Egypt (1 Week after the alert) Reg & Computer as hand luggage no trouble. Safe diving, Matt

thank you

Beware that Ryan air have slightly smaller hand luggage reulations that most other linelines at present. I heard something on BBC the other day that said Standstead had smaller sizes for hand luggage that other BAA airports due to Ryanair. However if you were not flying Ryanair then you could have the standard size but they don't advertise this as it upsets Ryanair.

Yes, I also did this about a fortnight after the security alerts. No problems on any of the 6 flights I took!
