Transfer from Hurgarda airport to El Gouna

Hi,

I'm new here, flying this Friday (15th) from Bristol. I need to make my own way to El Gouna from the airport. Anyone got any suggestions of the best way to do this? Reasonable taxi prices etc

Ps diving with TGI diving, web prices c 100 euro cheaper than divetribe!

Thanks in advance

Tony

Hi Tony
Is the reason why its 100 euro cheaper because you have to make your own way to the resort perhaps?
Enjoy your holiday.

Taking a taxi in Sharm before, I'd ask for a price from the driver, he gve me a price in English Pounds. I then haggle to the same price in Egyptian Pounds. Eg GBP30, haggle to Egyptian P 30. Bear in mind that their petrol prices are at least 10 times cheaper than over here!

If you get a white peugeot then it should be about 50 LE thats a fiver.

One of the new orange and blue taxis with a metre (if he hasn't tampered with the metre) about 25 LE

taxi prices

get some Egyptian pounds if possible before coming.

I think 25LE is a bit of a low estimate, should be between 75 and 100LE definatly not more than 100.

Just make sure you haggle for the price before you get in the car.

Enjoy EL Gouna and your dives

When I went to El Gouna earlier this year I contacted the hotel I was staying at and they organised a free taxi for me. The driver was waiting at the entrance as I got out of the airport. The hotel I stayed at was Dawar el Omda. I also used TGI and had a very pleasant 4 days diving.

They have METRES in the new Orange and Blue taxi's, a ride from Hurghada Centre is to El gouna is 18LE, 25LE is a HIGH estimate

It's a 15 min ride you wouldn't pay 75 to 100 in England
