| Diving in Goa Does anyone know anything about diving in Goa and is it any good? |

| Bogmallo Beach I did my open water course in Goa 3 yrs ago. Now I know that the operation was pretty basic. The kit was OK, but I,d take my own kit if I went back. The diving was quite good but very, very limited. It was done on an off shore island, with a wreck, and quite a bit of fish life. The viz was alright, well it was good compared to the UK, but not so good compared to the Red Sea. There were some trips running to Pidgeon Island where there are sharks and other wild life. I would'nt go there for a diving holiday, but I would go there for a holiday and dive. The pace of life is easy and everything is quite cheap. Dave

| Goa There are two big rivers one north one south of Goa and they spew out tons of brown soil and stuff into the sea. The diving is not very good onshore but out a few miles and the viz and sealife gets beter. I Dived with Goa diving, Bogmallo beach. Its a great place just not for diving....

| I've not been to Goa, but I went to Kerala. Lovely place by itself - there was no diving there, but you could get EXTREMELY cheaply to the Maldives from there

| alternatively, travel cross country to chenai and jump on a plane to the andaman islands. not world class diving, but nice enough. |

| My wife and I are working on planning a round the world trip and will be going through India so we wondered if it was worth diving in Goa since we will have our gear with us. We will be diving in plenty of other places. The biggest problem in getting to places that are not accessible via a RTW ticket is the local baggage allowances. Since we are not going only for the diving, we do need to take some clothes as well! |

| Diving in Goa Allan, I had the pleasure of meeting Annindya, a great bloke who has set up a dive centre in Goa this year. I plan to go and see him in October and check out the diving he is so passionate about. Check out his website(goaaquatics.com) and drop him an email. I am sure he will be only too willing to answer any of your questions. Regards Ivanski |
